Recumbent Stone Circles

This film was the first produced by Dip in Video and describes the current thinking on recumbent stone circles –a variation of stone circles unique to the North East of Scotland. The film explains changing interpretations of these magnificent structures and discusses recent conclusions on their meaning and purpose. The programme includes film of some of the most impressive of the circles including Tomnaverie, East Auquorthies and Loanhead of Daviot.
